LED manifacturing

ELTRON LTD -

In 2014 ELTRON LTD starts production of modern and efficient LED lighting - LED panels for flush and surface mount with brand INTO, while for interior and exterior LED ceiling and wall fixtures, and waterproof LED fixtures for bathroom with brand SPECTRA.

Moreover, ELTRON LTD developed and launched LED sources of white(day) light - LED modules and LED tubes applicable to a wide range of lighting fixtures.

  • Why LED?

This is not just another technical achievement in lighting, this is a radical change in human environment, its light, color and comfort.
The tiny and simple LED chip has concentrated in itself the latest achievements of physics, nanotechnology, microelectronics and a complex structure of semiconductor layers and phosphors.

  • Light Emitting Diode

LED technology is a semiconductor diode, whose base of operation is the principle of p-n-transition. Simply, this involves two semiconductors with different types of conductivity. One of the semiconductors have an excess of electrons (n-type), while the other is characterized by an excess of "holes" (p-type).
When n-element in such diode is switched to the positive terminal of the power source, it begins to flow current. Nowadays, the development of integrated technology allows a single crystal to form a huge amount of such p-n - transitions. For example, the processors of computers may contain not one, but several tens of million of these transition. The most interesting process begins once in the LEDs start to run current. At this point begins recombination of electrical charge carriers. In short, this means that electrons with a negative charge are trying to occupy the place where there are ions with a positive charge on the crystal lattice of the semiconductor. The moment when the "hole" and the electron meet, stems burst of energy and emits a photon (light particle). Thus, arises lighting - the principle that is used in LED.
LEDs have led to drastic changes in energy-efficient lighting.

Benefits of LED lamps:

  •     Long life

LED lights have extremely long life between 5 to 10 times more than compact fluorescent lamps and up to 50 times longer than traditional incandescent bulbs. This advantage is particularly important when calculating the investment in various types of lighting. During the life of an LED bulb, the user will need to change at least 5 pieces compact fluorescent lamps. This does not take into account additional costs for replacement of conventional lamps, which in large commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects can also be significant.

  •     Durability

Because LED lamps have no filament, they are not damaged in cases where ordinary lamp would be broken. They are strong and able to withstand shock, vibration and external impact. These properties make them ideal for outdoor lighting in unfavorable external conditions and high humidity environments.

  •     No heating

LED lamps do not get hot because they spent 3,4 btu / hr. compared to 85 btu / hr. for incandescent bulbs. Conventional incandescent bulbs are heated, which results in increased ambient temperature in the room. Another advantage of LED lamps is that they do not emit UV rays, which is a very important feature used, for example, in the lighting of works of art.

  •     No mercury

In the production of LED lamps, it is not used mercury and other toxic substances.

  •     Environmentally effective

LED lighting uses less than 1/5 of the electricity needed to run the conventional incandescent bulbs. In the event that we have as a standard 60 W bulb, then at its replacement with 11W LED analog, power consumption will decrease by more than 80%.
Besides that LED lighting will reduce your bills, you are helping and protecting the environment. Reduced power consumption means less CO2 emissions worldwide.

  •     Cost-effectiveness

Although the initial purchase of such lamps is more expensive, over time will regain the investment and will save on energy consumption. Initially LED bulb began to be used for commercial purposes in cases where maintenance and replacement are expensive. The cost of LED lighting significantly declined over the last few years and still continues to fall. Nowayadays there are many new affordable lamps for home use, so the price is no longer justification for the choice of another kind of light bulbs.
LED lighting is undoubtedly the biggest change the lighting industry has witnessed since the invention of the light bulb. LEDs provide new unlimited possibilities to improve the living environment through lighting. And as for any real revolution, it is crucial event and it is the extraction of white light.
Its application is comprehensive - retail outlets, offices, outdoors, in industry, in schools, in gymnasiums, in hospitals, at home.

  • More advantages of LEDs.

The fields of application of LEDs are practically limitless. Their advantages make them the most reliable known source of light without an alternative:

  • Key Benefits:

Low power consumption.
Long life - LED sources have technical life up to 100,000 hours. After this period, the LED remains lit, but at a lower intensity.
High reliability - stems from the long technical life - up to 100,000 hours under optimal conditions.
Environmentally-friendly - LEDs does not contain elements dangerous for humans (unlike for example mercury, sodium and conventional fluorescent lamps.)
Do not emit any harmful emissions (absence of ultraviolet and infrared radiations that are harmful to humans).
Emit minimum heat.
No glass casing.
Indirectly improve the environmental situation in the world - low consumption reduces the load on power plants that reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere - a prerequisite for reducing the greenhouse effect.
Fully recyclable
Any color - white LEDs themselves, as well as combinations of monochrome colored LEDs practically can emit light with a programmable color. LED lighting can produce light across the color temperature range - including over 6500K - color temperature of natural daylight white light unattainable for conventional lamps.

Practical advantages:

Maintenance free - For all his technical life LEDs require no maintenance and service.
Safety - LEDs work in electrical and electronic systems with small currents at low supply voltages
Mechanical resistance - LEDs are resistant to vibration and shock - they do not contain elements that can be damaged mechanically or which can break (eg glass casing).
Waterproof - waterproof LEDs are electronic components and can operate at high humidity without changing its parameters.
Working without heating - LEDs, due to its high efficiency, have low operating temperatures.
Heavy Duty - LEDs have high efficiency when operating in harsh operating conditions.
Simple operation - LEDs do not require a starter and ballast devices to ignite themselves. As electronic components operating at low voltages and have a simple device easily controlled with inexpensive solutions.
Without reflectors - The various embodiments of the housing of the LED allows the preparation of a random distribution of the luminous flux in the space: uniformly in all directions or a narrow beam of light. Unlike conventional lighting fixtures, they do not have complicated mirror-lens and reflector structures (in which there is loss of light).
Miniature size - The size of the emitting area of ??the powerful white LED is several thousand times less than the volume of conventional lamps. This allows the creation of extremely compact light sources (lower material consumption) and aesthetic saint shaped bodies.
Constant color - Unlike conventional lighting LEDs emit light with a constant color temperature (color) regardless of its intensity.
Fire - Due to the low operating temperatures and the materials from which they are made, LEDs are fireproof.
